Dan E Wilson, CPA, MBA, passed away August 20, 2013. Dan was originally from Cameron, West Virginia and was the partner in charge of our Weirton office from 1980 until 2013. He graduated from Wheeling College in 1977 with a Bachelors degree in Accountancy and obtained an MBA from West Virginia University prior to joining the firm in July of 1979. He became a partner in 1987 and was the firm’s managing partner from 2011 to 2013. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Dan had a brilliant tax mind and created a thrilling work environment for all that were lucky enough to work with him. He was more than a tax preparer to his clients, however, adding expertise to each of his engagements and rarely saying “No” when a special request was made. His generosity reached far beyond the time he dedicated to his clients. He served in various leadership roles in the Weirton area, including the Weirton Rotary Club, the Weirton Area Community Foundation, and the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce. He also served on the Board of Directors of the West Virginia Tax Institute.
